Crime is moderate, and the police force struggles against a lack of funding and a high mortality rate. The Ryukyu's national animal is the Black Tortoise, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, its national religion is Zen Buddhism, and its currency is the Gil.

The Ryukyu is ranked 38th in Japan and 99,767th in the world for Largest Mining Sector, scoring -1 on the Blue Sky Asbestos Index.
