The Republic of The Oriental Dragon is a massive, socially progressive nation, ruled by Father Comrade with a fair hand, and remarkable for its keen interest in outer space. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, intelligent population of 3.64 billion hold their civil and political rights very dear, although the wealthy and those in business tend to be viewed with suspicion.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, liberal government stops and the rest of society begins, but it devotes most of its attentions to Education, with areas such as Religion & Spirituality and Social Equality receiving almost no funds by comparison. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Eccentri City. The average income tax rate is 80%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Information Technology industry, followed by Book Publishing and Tourism.

Radio shows frequently feature people denouncing religion, high-income earners pay a 100% tax rate, rag-wearing teachers are often mistaken for homeless people, and kids laugh off vandalism and arson as "just fun". Crime is totally unknown, thanks to a well-funded police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. The Oriental Dragon's national animal is the tiger, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, its national religion is Cult of the Father, and its currency is the dollar.
