The Holy Realm of The Norak Federation is a massive, devout nation, notable for its keen interest in outer space. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 4.402 billion are rabid consumers, partly through choice and partly because the government tells them to and dissenters tend to vanish from their homes at night.

Immigrant herding has become a national pastime, a National Academy regulates grammar and usage, the teaching of evolution has been banned, and people reciting Shakespeare have become a common sight. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. The Norak Federation's national animal is the Angel, which is also the nation's favorite main course, its national religion is The Great Eye, and its currency is the Demon Blood Pints.
