The Imperial Fortress Reich of The Kraven Corporation is a gargantuan, economically powerful nation, ruled by Reichmarshall Deitrich with an iron fist, and remarkable for its parental licensing program. Its hard-nosed, cynical population of 13.416 billion are kept under strict control by the oppressive government, which measures its success by the nation's GDP and refers to individual citizens as "human resources."

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt, moralistic government stops and the rest of society begins, but it devotes most of its attentions to Defence, with areas such as the Environment and Social Welfare receiving almost no funds by comparison. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Fortress Norska. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 94%. Private enterprise is illegal, but for those in the know there is a slick and highly efficient black market in Uranium Mining.

The police are tightening their grip on alcohol smugglers, the people are famous throughout the region for their bleached-white teeth, cities are engulfed by smog, and environmental protestors are being rounded up and taken away in sinister black vans as a massive land development campaign gets underway. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force. The Kraven Corporation's national animal is the Double Headed Eagle, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, its national religion is The Worship of Law and Order, and its currency is the Credit.

The Kraven Corporation is ranked 12th in Gholgoth and 1,930th in the world for Shortest Average Lifespan, scoring 30 on the Bus Surprisal Index.
