The Nomadic Peoples of The Great Mongol Khanate is a massive, economically powerful nation, ruled by Temujin the Khagan of the Mongol Empire with an iron fist, and remarkable for its parental licensing program. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 1.774 billion are kept under strict control by the oppressive government, which measures its success by the nation's GDP and refers to individual citizens as "human resources."

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt, moralistic government stops and the rest of society begins, but it devotes most of its attentions to Defence, with areas such as Social Equality and Social Welfare receiving almost no funds by comparison. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of The Great Mongol City of Karakorum. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 93%. Private enterprise is illegal, but for those in the know there is a slick and highly efficient black market in Arms Manufacturing.

Postmen have been arrested in job lots for selling junk mail as home insulation, criminals are thrown to the Fell Beasts to repay their debt to society, the workforce is almost entirely made up of slave labour, and hairdressers are among those who have disappeared overnight. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force. The Great Mongol Khanate's national animal is the Fell Beast, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, its national religion is Shamanism, and its currency is the Black Skull.

The Great Mongol Khanate is ranked 35th in USSR and 24,911th in the world for Shortest Average Lifespan, scoring -10 on the Bus Surprisal Index.
