The Gloved Nazi SS-Aufseherinnen of The General Government is a massive, environmentally stunning nation, renowned for its compulsory military service. Its hard-nosed, cynical population of 1.554 billion are ruled without fear or favor by a psychotic dictator, who outlaws just about everything and refers to the populace as "my little playthings."

The government -- a sprawling, bureaucracy-choked, moralistic, socially-minded morass -- juggles the competing demands of Law & Order, Defence, and Social Welfare. The average income tax rate is 40%, but much higher for the wealthy. Private enterprise is illegal, but for those in the know there is a slick and highly efficient black market in Arms Manufacturing.

Elections have been outlawed, the right to free speech is being drastically curtailed, and military spending is on the increase. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is relatively low, thanks to the all-pervasive police force. The General Government's national animal is the Reichsadler, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the Złoty.

The General Government is ranked 1st in the Republic of Poland and 17,704th in the world for Shortest Average Lifespan, scoring -9 on the Bus Surprisal Index.
