The Civil War of The Elven Imperium is a massive, environmentally stunning nation, ruled by Celanor and Malvain with an iron fist, and notable for its irreverence towards religion. Its compassionate, cynical population of 2.545 billion are ruled with an iron fist by the dictatorship government, which ensures that no-one outside the party gets too rich. In their personal lives, however, citizens are relatively unoppressed; it remains to be seen whether this is because the government genuinely cares about its people, or if it hasn't gotten around to stamping out civil rights yet.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt, socially-minded government stops and the rest of society begins, but it devotes most of its attentions to Defence, with areas such as Religion & Spirituality and Social Welfare receiving almost no funds by comparison. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Tal'en'Quessir. The average income tax rate is 92%, and even higher for the wealthy. A healthy private sector is dominated by the Arms Manufacturing industry.

Newspapers cannot report anything about politicians without their explicit consent, The Elven Imperium is notorious for its citizens' infidelity, businesses that prove successful are immediately broken up, and postmen have been arrested in job lots for selling junk mail as home insulation. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. The Elven Imperium's national animal is the Gold Dragon, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the Elven Pound.
