The Decapodian Dictatorship of The Dracion Islands is a gargantuan, economically powerful nation, ruled by Glorious Zoidberg with an iron fist, and renowned for its prohibition of alcohol. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 10.31 billion are ruled with an iron fist by the corrupt, dictatorship government, which oppresses anyone who isn't on the board of a Fortune 500 company. Large corporations tend to be above the law, and use their financial clout to gain ever-increasing government benefits at the expense of the poor and unemployed.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt, moralistic government stops and the rest of society begins, but it concentrates mainly on Defence, although Law & Order and Education are secondary priorities. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of DRACONIA. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 93%. A powerhouse of a private sector is dominated by the Uranium Mining industry.

Every citizen must submit to DNA testing to be eliminated from police inquiries, the government is spending billions of taxpayer cabbages to support the Uranium Mining industry, criminals are thrown to the innocent bystanders to repay their debt to society, and prisons are crowded with possible terrorist suspects. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force. The Dracion Islands's national animal is the innocent bystander, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, its national religion is Zoidberg, and its currency is the cabbage.
