The Federal Democratic Republic of The Democratic Nation of Unovia is a massive, safe nation, ruled by Unovian Spokesperson Ben Connors with an even hand, and renowned for its unlimited-speed roads. Its compassionate, intelligent population of 2.102 billion are fiercely patriotic and enjoy great social equality; they tend to view other, more capitalist countries as somewhat immoral and corrupt.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it devotes most of its attentions to Education, with areas such as Religion & Spirituality and Defence receiving almost no funds by comparison. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Psywave. The average income tax rate is 96%. A powerhouse of a private sector is dominated by the Book Publishing industry.

The people are furious with the government for allowing citizens to be executed for petty crimes in foreign countries, mobile phone masts are being erected all over the country, organ donation is compulsory, and military funding has been stripped back. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. The Democratic Nation of Unovia's national animal is the Eagle, which is also the nation's favorite main course, its national religion is Roman Catholicism, and its currency is the Unovic Dollar.

The Democratic Nation of Unovia is ranked 2nd in ISSU and 5,311th in the world for Most Pacifist, scoring 272 on the Lennon-Springsteen Scale.
