Citizens are regularly found digging for treasure in their gardens, all prisons have been eliminated, businesses often fire workers in favour of cheaper automatic systems, and foreigners are treated with great suspicion. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is a problem, probably because of the country's utter lack of prisons. The Delta Quadrent's national animal is the Imaginary Gofer, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the Warp Drive.
