The Imperium of The British Royal Crown is a massive, safe nation, ruled by His Majesty King Richard with a fair hand, and remarkable for its museums and concert halls. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, intelligent population of 3.391 billion are effectively ruled by a group of massive corporations, who run for political office and provide their well-off citizens with world-class goods and services. Their poorer citizens, however, are mostly starving to death while being urged to go out and get real jobs. The populace has reasonably extensive civil rights, although these are mostly aimed at allowing them to buy whatever they like.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, pro-business government stops and the rest of society begins, but it is mainly concerned with Defence, although Education and Commerce are secondary priorities. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of The Imperial Centre of London. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 59%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Tourism industry, followed by Book Publishing and Gambling.

Criminals are thrown to the Imperial Lions to repay their debt to society, children as young as twelve are conscripted into the armed forces, euthanasia is legal, and dozens of additional foreign policy specialists have been sent to the country's WA Mission. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to a well-funded police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. The British Royal Crown's national animal is the Imperial Lion, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, its national religion is Imperial Anglicanism, and its currency is the Royal Pound Sterling.

The British Royal Crown is ranked 1,223rd in Balder and 39,588th in the world for Most Eco-Friendly Governments, scoring 22 on the Dolphin Recycling Awareness Index.
