The government's new 'Crime Can Fight Itself' policy appears to be backfiring rather badly, all tariffs have been abolished, the Supreme Court vehemently protects civil rights and the right to privacy, and the country's famous rainforests are being bulldozed by the mining industry. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is a serious problem, probably because of the country's utter lack of prisons. The Amazing Race's national animal is the giant tarfly, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the khoegan.

The Amazing Race is ranked 14th in International Democratic Union and 19,593rd in the world for Shortest Average Lifespan, scoring -9 on the Bus Surprisal Index.
