Children are raised bilingual from an early age, truth is often impossible to tell from fiction on the evening news, abortions are routinely performed in The 9 Stars's hospitals, and conductors wield diamond-encrusted batons to fit in with their freshly gilded surroundings. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. The 9 Stars's national animal is the White Wolf, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the Sirion.
