Its compassionate, hard-working population of 7.215 billion are either ruled by a sleek, efficient government or a conglomerate of multinational corporations; it's difficult to tell which.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, pro-business government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Law & Order, Defence, and Education. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Automobile Manufacturing, Book Publishing, and Arms Manufacturing industries.

Construction of the Really Big Hadron Collider is underway, most mothers are forced to quit their jobs to care for infants, the Father of the House has been in office just shy of a fortnight, and airship use has soared while property values beneath their routes have plummeted. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Thatius's national animal is the Eagle, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, its national religion is Christianity, and its currency is the Dinar.

Thatius is ranked 36th in Atlantian Oceania and 22,149th in the world for Largest Public Sector, scoring 17 on the Bureaucratic Comprehensiveness Rating Scale Index.
