The Murderous Tyrants of Thackistan is a colossal, economically powerful nation, ruled by Mahamed Acheroes with an iron fist, and renowned for its compulsory military service. Its compassionate, hard-working, cynical population of 9.123 billion are kept under strict control by the oppressive government, which measures its success by the nation's GDP and refers to individual citizens as "human resources."

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, moralistic government stops and the rest of society begins, but it concentrates mainly on Law & Order, although Defence and Religion & Spirituality are secondary priorities. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Centralia. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 67%. A large private sector is dominated by the Beef-Based Agriculture industry.

Nursing mothers are often arrested for indecent exposure, the government has taken a 'sort it out yourselves' approach to fighting malaria, citizens rise at daybreak every day for mandatory exercise, and Pinkerton agents are called in to forcibly break up white collar strikes. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Thackistan's national animal is the bloated purple monster, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the cheese burger.

Thackistan is ranked 65th in Equilism and 83,691st in the world for Shortest Average Lifespan, scoring -18 on the Bus Surprisal Index.
