Conductors wield diamond-encrusted batons to fit in with their freshly gilded surroundings, kids laugh off vandalism and arson as "just fun", the people elect the Supreme Court justices directly, and Terra Aurelia's famous countrysides are shrouded by wind farms. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Terra Aurelia's national animal is the Eagle, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the aureus.
