Its compassionate population of 2.681 billion have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of the Environment, Religion & Spirituality, and Education. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Pearson City. The average income tax rate is 31%, but much higher for the wealthy. A healthy private sector is dominated by the Tourism industry.

Tourists from around the world come to visit the country's famous rainforests, the nation's infamous boot camp is more brutal than most battlefields, 'unconventional' weaponry has been banned, and it is illegal for police officers to carry out searches due to strict privacy laws. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. TedBearLandia's national animal is the Teddybear, which is also the nation's favorite main course, its national religion is Seventh-Day Bearists, and its currency is the Jonathan.
