It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, liberal government stops and the rest of society begins, but it concentrates mainly on Education, although Social Welfare and the Environment are secondary priorities. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Sessio De Vox. The average income tax rate is 96%. A powerhouse of a private sector is dominated by the Tourism industry.

Students are wary of colorfully decorated new teachers with names like Professor Pipsqueak, the government recently relinquished its monopoly on the mail service, a weakened police force struggles to maintain law and order, and citizens may cast their vote over the internet or phone. Crime is totally unknown. Tardus Dies's national animal is the Sasquatch, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its currency is the Fun Chip.
