The Dominion of Tairlia is a massive, genial nation, ruled by Sesaromapiel with an even hand, and remarkable for its sprawling nuclear power plants. Its compassionate population of 2.247 billion are fiercely patriotic and enjoy great social equality; they tend to view other, more capitalist countries as somewhat immoral and corrupt.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Defence, Social Equality, and Education. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Evermore. The average income tax rate is 100%. A powerhouse of a private sector is dominated by the Tourism industry.

Tourists from around the world come to visit the country's famous rainforests, toddlers are wielding machine guns in the name of national defense, it is illegal for police officers to carry out searches due to strict privacy laws, and there has been a series of riots between local cannibals and health food advocates. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Tairlia's national animal is the Straight Key, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its currency is the Efference.
