The Corporate Syndicate of Syina is a massive, safe nation, ruled by the Right Wing with an iron fist, and notable for its barren, inhospitable landscape. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 2.751 billion are ruled by a mostly-benevolent dictator, who grants the populace the freedom to live their own lives but watches carefully for anyone to slip up.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Law & Order, Defence, and Healthcare. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Keledran. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 41%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Information Technology industry, followed by Arms Manufacturing and Uranium Mining.

Strange looking men with big red noses are found hiding behind bushes and inside dustbins, calling out of the blue has become taboo, mining is the nation's most dangerous occupation, and police conduct weekly raids looking for contraband cheeseburgers. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Syina's national animal is the dancing mango, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its currency is the Sia.

Syina is ranked 109th in Capitalist Paradise and 6,435th in the world for Shortest Average Lifespan, scoring 10 on the Bus Surprisal Index.
