The United Socialist States of Supersloth is a gargantuan, socially progressive nation, notable for its anti-smoking policies. Its compassionate, intelligent population of 16.575 billion love a good election, and the government gives them plenty of them. Universities tend to be full of students debating the merits of various civil and political rights, while businesses are tightly regulated and the wealthy viewed with suspicion.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, socially-minded government stops and the rest of society begins, but it is effectively ruled by the Department of Social Welfare, with areas such as Defence and Religion & Spirituality receiving almost no funds by comparison. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Superslothopolis. The average income tax rate is 74%, and even higher for the wealthy. The private sector is almost wholly made up of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, although the government is looking at stamping this out.

'A is for Annulment' is a popular children's song, the sound of wooden legs echo throughout Supersloth after the recent introduction of the Foot Tax, the government is spending millions on renovating the public transportation system, and prisoners work-share to cut down rising costs of keeping them in jail. Crime is totally unknown. Supersloth's national animal is the sloth, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the snail.

Supersloth is ranked 124th in New York and 101,118th in the world for Shortest Average Lifespan, scoring -59 on the Bus Surprisal Index.
