The Squirming Fornocracy of Stewed Rats is a colossal, environmentally stunning nation, renowned for its museums and concert halls. Its compassionate, intelligent population of 6.668 billion are free to do what they want with their own bodies, and vote for whoever they like in elections; if they go into business, however, they are regulated to within an inch of their lives.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt, liberal, socially-minded government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Social Welfare, Education, and the Environment. The average income tax rate is 100%. The private sector is almost wholly made up of enterprising fourteen-year-old boys selling lemonade on the sidewalk, although the government is looking at stamping this out.

Surveillance cameras are banned, the roads are virtually falling apart, murder rates are on the rise as the popularity of soylent products grows, and students in Stewed Rats's schools rarely attend their classes. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is crippling, probably because of the country's utter lack of prisons. Stewed Rats's national animal is the rat, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its currency is the peppercorn.

Stewed Rats is ranked 7th in the region and 3,961st in the world for Most Godforsaken.
