It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it devotes most of its attentions to Law & Order, with areas such as the Environment and Social Equality receiving almost no funds by comparison. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Stevid Capita. The average income tax rate is 100%. A powerhouse of a private sector is dominated by the Uranium Mining industry.

Vile black smog from coal power plants has enveloped several major urban centres, the nation's infamous boot camp is more brutal than most battlefields, the government has enacted freedom of information, and the government is using tax revenues to provide jobs for the poor. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Stevid's national animal is the Coyote, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, its national religion is Roman Catholicism, and its currency is the Pound.
