Its hard-nosed, hard-working, intelligent population of 14.178 billion have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it devotes most of its attentions to Law & Order, with areas such as the Environment and Social Equality receiving almost no funds by comparison. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Stevid Capita. The average income tax rate is 100%. A powerhouse of a private sector is dominated by the Uranium Mining industry.

International tensions are high as Stevid threatens any government with the audacity to arrest its citizens, crime suspects are forced to submit to blood testing, the Holy Office of the Inquisition is the highest court in the land, and government officials have to mortgage their homes to make ends meet. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Stevid's national animal is the Coyote, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, its national religion is Roman Catholicism, and its currency is the Pound.
