The Imperial State of Starhunter is a colossal, devout nation, renowned for its hatred of cheese. Its compassionate, cynical population of 8.027 billion are ruled by a mostly-benevolent dictator, who grants the populace the freedom to live their own lives but watches carefully for anyone to slip up.
It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it is mainly concerned with Law & Order, although Education and Defence are secondary priorities. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of the Imperial Capital. The average income tax rate is 100%. The private sector is almost wholly made up of enterprising fourteen-year-old boys selling lemonade on the sidewalk, although the government is looking at stamping this out.
Protesters are up in arms over new nuclear power stations, the government is making attempts at curtailing the flood of spam emails with little progress, female newsreaders distract the nation by breastfeeding during broadcast, and citizens are forced to donate blood once every three months. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Starhunter's national animal is the Imperial Dragon, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its currency is the Imperial Platinum.
Starhunter is ranked 149th in the region and 5,280th in the world for Highest Unemployment Rates.
