The Dictatorship of Spartanello is a gargantuan, genial nation, remarkable for its complete lack of prisons. Its compassionate population of 10.102 billion have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it devotes most of its attentions to Social Welfare, with areas such as Religion & Spirituality and Commerce receiving almost no funds by comparison. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Spartanello City. The average income tax rate is 80%. Private enterprise is illegal, but for those in the know there is a slick and highly efficient black market in Book Publishing.

Schoolchildren have twice-weekly sex education classes, political parties are banned from advertising and receiving private donations, drunk drivers are sent to rehabilitation paid for by the government, and Spartanello has designated Spartanello City as its capital city. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Spartanello's national animal is the spartan vizsla, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the master.
