The United Provinces of Southern Yugoslavia is a colossal, cultured nation, ruled by President Zakhari Kreskov with a fair hand, and remarkable for its museums and concert halls. Its compassionate, intelligent population of 5.446 billion love a good election, and the government gives them plenty of them. Universities tend to be full of students debating the merits of various civil and political rights, while businesses are tightly regulated and the wealthy viewed with suspicion.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Defence, Law & Order, and Education. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of New Skopje DS. The average income tax rate is 83%, and even higher for the wealthy. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Tourism industry, followed by Arms Manufacturing and Woodchip Exports.

The art of conversation has been rediscovered, conductors wield diamond-encrusted batons to fit in with their freshly gilded surroundings, 'The Anti-Government Hour' is a popular programme on many of Southern Yugoslavia's radio stations, and grazing lands are filled with cattle wearing odd-looking anti-pollution devices. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Southern Yugoslavia's national animal is the Trakovaski Desert Wolf, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, its national religion is Laiatan Protestantism, and its currency is the Rubla.

Southern Yugoslavia is ranked 211th in The East Pacific and 6,437th in the world for Most Compassionate Citizens, scoring 22 on the Kitten Softness Rating.
