The Republic of South Vietnam is a massive, economically powerful nation, ruled by President Mai Pham with an even hand, and renowned for its keen interest in outer space. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, intelligent population of 3.443 billion have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it is mainly concerned with Defence, although Social Welfare and Commerce are on the agenda. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Saigon. The average income tax rate is 35%, but much higher for the wealthy. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Book Publishing, Information Technology, and Woodchip Exports industries.

President Mai Pham has just been declared ruler of South Vietnam in an international press conference, programmes of questionable content are shown at peak-hours, artists are pillars of society, and traffic jams are a common sight due to construction work from a massive overhaul of the nation's freeways. Crime is relatively low, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. South Vietnam's national animal is the Water Buffalo, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its currency is the South Vietnamese Dong.

South Vietnam is ranked 1st in South Vietnam and 62,166th in the world for Most Income Equality, scoring 116 on the Marx-Engels Emancipation Scale.
