The Community of South Park Township is a colossal, safe nation, remarkable for its strong anti-business politics. Its hard-nosed, cynical population of 6.895 billion are ruled without fear or favor by a psychotic dictator, who outlaws just about everything and refers to the populace as "my little playthings."

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Defence, Healthcare, and Law & Order. The average income tax rate is 71%, and even higher for the wealthy. Private enterprise is illegal, but for those in the know there is a slick and highly efficient black market in Uranium Mining.

Closed universities are currently being converted into MacDonald's restaurants, citizens are forced to donate blood once every three months, the lowest age at which one can marry has been recently lowered to 12, and politicians are often seen with soldiers pointing guns at their heads. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. South Park Township's national animal is the South Park Eagle, and its currency is the Township Note.
