The Hyrulean Chairman of South Malaysia is a gargantuan, cultured nation, ruled by Maximilian Warwick Jr with an even hand, and renowned for its anti-smoking policies. Its compassionate, intelligent population of 13.781 billion are fiercely patriotic and enjoy great social equality; they tend to view other, more capitalist countries as somewhat immoral and corrupt.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Social Welfare, Law & Order, and Defence. The average income tax rate is 74%, and even higher for the wealthy. The private sector is almost wholly made up of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, although the government is looking at stamping this out.

Prime commercial land is being swamped with archaeological teams, religious organizations are being forced to leave the country or pay income taxes like everybody else, the fire protection service is wholly government-funded, and parents must choose their children's names from a government-mandated master list. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. South Malaysia's national animal is the South Malay Frog, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the EMD.

South Malaysia is ranked 12th in Hyrule and 33,124th in the world for Most Politically Free, scoring 67 on the Diebold Election Inking Scale.
