The private sector is almost wholly made up of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, although the government is looking at stamping this out.

The wearing and manufacture of fur apparel is banned, parents live in fear of governmental 'child protection' squads, scenic mountain valleys are flooded with water as damming projects get underway, and corporations are either above the law or corrupting it. Crime is relatively low. South Erie's national animal is the crawfish, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the picayune.
