The THE PATRIOTS of South Allegheny is a colossal, safe nation, ruled by Big Boss with an even hand, and renowned for its sprawling nuclear power plants. Its hard-nosed, hard-working population of 6.573 billion have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

The tiny, corrupt government juggles the competing demands of Defence, Law & Order, and Education. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Outer Heaven. Income tax is unheard of. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Arms Manufacturing industry, followed by Information Technology and Beef-Based Agriculture.

Online tourism reviews of South Allegheny are suspiciously positive and amazingly similar, citizens are regularly arrested in queues for 'loitering', protesters are up in arms over new nuclear power stations, and the workforce is almost entirely made up of slave labour. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. South Allegheny's national animal is the Rex, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, its national religion is Bossism, and its currency is the Metal.

South Allegheny is ranked 329th in Europe and 33,222nd in the world for Most Influential, scoring 23 on the Soft Power Disbursement Rating.
