The Disputed Territories of Somali Warlords is a massive, socially progressive nation, notable for its absence of drug laws. Its hard-nosed, cynical population of 1.014 billion are ruled with an iron fist by the dictatorship government, which ensures that no-one outside the party gets too rich. In their personal lives, however, citizens are relatively unoppressed; it remains to be seen whether this is because the government genuinely cares about its people, or if it hasn't gotten around to stamping out civil rights yet.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, socially-minded government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Defence, Law & Order, and Social Equality. The average income tax rate is 49%, but much higher for the wealthy. Private enterprise is illegal, but for those in the know there is a slick and highly efficient black market in Arms Manufacturing.

The country's famous rainforests are being bulldozed by the mining industry, Cargo ships are considered a delicacy, military spending is on the increase, and fewer people are bathing as citizens must show ration stamps before they can turn on their faucets. Crime is moderate. Somali Warlords's national animal is the Cargo ship, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its currency is the 7 62 Bullet.

Somali Warlords is ranked 3rd in The Independece Region and 15,275th in the world for Shortest Average Lifespan, scoring -8 on the Bus Surprisal Index.
