The Planetary Federation of Solont is a colossal, safe nation, ruled by Lord Protector Katsuma Rayer with an iron fist, and renowned for its unlimited-speed roads. Its compassionate, hard-working, cynical population of 6.542 billion are ruled by a mostly-benevolent dictator, who grants the populace the freedom to live their own lives but watches carefully for anyone to slip up.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt government stops and the rest of society begins, but it devotes most of its attentions to Defence, with areas such as Religion & Spirituality and the Environment receiving almost no funds by comparison. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Waterfront City. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 27%. A powerhouse of a private sector is dominated by the Information Technology industry.

Cars speed down national highways while drivers sleep at the wheel, radio shows frequently feature people denouncing religion, new safety regulations require all cars manufactured in Solont to be bombproof, and priests are being drafted by the church load. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Solont's national animal is the panzer dragon, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the credit.

Solont is ranked 3rd in Space Sector RPRA and 6,363rd in the world for Largest Trout Fishing Sector, scoring 4 on the Nemo Depletion Efficiency Index.
