The Sultanate Republic of Snulonia is a colossal, socially progressive nation, ruled by President Casimir VI with a fair hand, and renowned for its anti-smoking policies. Its hard-nosed, intelligent population of 6.099 billion hold their civil and political rights very dear, although the wealthy and those in business tend to be viewed with suspicion.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it concentrates mainly on Education, although the Environment and Defence are secondary priorities. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Wubblhausen. The average income tax rate is 81%, and even higher for the wealthy. A powerhouse of a private sector is dominated by the Tourism industry.

Students are wary of colorfully decorated new teachers with names like Professor Pipsqueak, Snulonia's army is full of two-metre tall super-soldiers, soylent products are an expensive commodity due to a lack of volunteers, and radio shows frequently feature people denouncing religion. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Snulonia's national animal is the Hamster, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its currency is the Snu.
