There is no government in the normal sense of the word; however, a small group of community-minded, liberal individuals devotes most of its attentions to Education, with areas such as Religion & Spirituality and the Environment receiving almost no funds by comparison. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Rennes-le-Chateau. Income tax is unheard of. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Book Publishing, Uranium Mining, and Retail industries.

Most of the nation's wealthy aristocrats are dentists, same-sex marriages are increasingly common, euthanasia is legal, and Members of Parliament are often found living in cardboard boxes. Crime is totally unknown. Sionis Prioratus's national animal is the Phoenix, which is also the nation's favorite main course, its national religion is Catharism and Judaism, and its currency is the Royal.
