The Sultanate of Shaff is a massive, environmentally stunning nation, ruled by Shafeer Khan with an even hand, and notable for its hatred of cheese. Citizens applying for their first jobs face fierce competition from the homeless, the government has instituted 'traveller reservations' across the country, the government is using tax revenues to provide jobs for the poor, and the sound of wooden legs echo throughout Shaff after the recent introduction of the Foot Tax. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Shaff's national animal is the Jaguar, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its currency is the Shaf Dollar.
