Its hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 3.253 billion are ruled by a mostly-benevolent dictator, who grants the populace the freedom to live their own lives but watches carefully for anyone to slip up.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt government stops and the rest of society begins, but it is effectively ruled by the Department of Defence, with areas such as Social Equality and Religion & Spirituality receiving almost no funds by comparison. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Bonz. The average income tax rate is 49%, but much higher for the wealthy. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Arms Manufacturing industry, followed by Gambling and Beef-Based Agriculture.

All major public areas are watched by police surveillance cameras, citizens are regularly found digging for treasure in their gardens, a crusade against barbaric religious practices has begun, and drunk drivers are sentenced to death. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force. Shadow-Bonzi's national animal is the dog, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the dollar.
