Its hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 16.779 billion enjoy great individual freedoms in everything except elections, which, where they exist at all, are populist shams for a dictatorship government that has no intention of ever giving up power.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Education, the Environment, and Healthcare. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Mu. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 3%. A powerhouse of a private sector is dominated by the Tourism industry.

Leather-clad individuals can be seen walking their slaves in public parks, a fashion designer has been arrested for inciting hatred after claiming redheads couldn't pull off vermillion, euthanasia is legal, and the mining industry has taken a hit from tighter environmental regulations. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Sevilia's national animal is the cow, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its currency is the §evolean.
