The Greater Intergalactic Empire of Servoth is a colossal, economically powerful nation, ruled by Führer Heinrich Alder with an iron fist, and renowned for its compulsory military service. The hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 7.658 billion Servothians are kept under strict control by the oppressive government, which measures its success by the nation's GDP and refers to individual citizens as "human resources."

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Defence, Law & Order, and Commerce. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Imperia Galaxia. The average income tax rate is 100%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Arms Manufacturing industry, followed by Information Technology and Uranium Mining.

All telephone traffic is monitored for 'national security reasons', a new generation of aquariumless hotels are being built under government supervision, drug distribution is tightly controlled by the government, and artists are pillars of society. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Servoth's national animal is the State Dragon, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to toxic air pollution, its national religion is Atheism, and its currency is the ReichsMark.

Servoth is ranked 4th in The Alliance of Dictators and 325th in the world for Safest, scoring 1,884.6 on the Bubble-Rapp Safety Rating.
