The Lord High Executioner of Septalon is a colossal, socially progressive nation, ruled by Ambroscus Koth with an even hand, and notable for its sprawling nuclear power plants. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, intelligent population of 5.109 billion enjoy some of the most opulent lifestyles in the region, unless they are unemployed or working-class, in which case they are variously starving to death or crippled by easily preventable diseases.

The enormous government juggles the competing demands of Defence, Law & Order, and Education. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Betasector. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 16%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Book Publishing, Gambling, and Uranium Mining industries.

Women earn less than half the salary of men if they can even find a job, the government is pouring money into 'Operation Enduring Democracy', college students make ends meet by selling their kidneys, and underage drinkers are dragged through the streets and put in the stocks. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is pervasive. Septalon's national animal is the horse, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the septo.

Septalon is ranked 7th in The Imperial Legion and 96,175th in the world for Most Pacifist, scoring -48 on the Lennon-Springsteen Scale.
