The Empire of Senturius is a massive, safe nation, ruled by Papa V with an iron fist, and notable for its complete lack of prisons. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 1.771 billion are rabid consumers, partly through choice and partly because the government tells them to and dissenters tend to vanish from their homes at night.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt government stops and the rest of society begins, but it concentrates mainly on Defence, although Law & Order and Education are secondary priorities. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Sparta City. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 72%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Information Technology industry, followed by Arms Manufacturing and Uranium Mining.

Military spending is on the increase, the nation's diplomatic missives are now delivered via sniper rifle, the breathalyser pledge is a traditional part of marriages in Senturius, and protesters are up in arms over new nuclear power stations. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Senturius's national animal is the Dragon, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, its national religion is Sith, and its currency is the Dollar.

Senturius is ranked 3,591st in the Pacific and 82,839th in the world for Shortest Average Lifespan, scoring -18 on the Bus Surprisal Index.
