Overview • PeopleGovernmentEconomyTrendAnalysis

The Republic of Sensibilitee is a massive, environmentally stunning nation, ruled by Sen Si Bility with a fair hand, and remarkable for its complete absence of social welfare. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, intelligent population of 2.214 billion are effectively ruled by a group of massive corporations, who run for political office and provide their well-off citizens with world-class goods and services. Their poorer citizens, however, are mostly starving to death while being urged to go out and get real jobs. The populace has reasonably extensive civil rights, although these are mostly aimed at allowing them to buy whatever they like.

The enormous government juggles the competing demands of Education, the Environment, and Public Transport. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Sensibilitee City. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 25%. A robust private sector is dominated by the Book Publishing industry.

Fewer people are bathing as citizens must show ration stamps before they can turn on their faucets, elections have become procedural nightmares due to voters persistently rejecting candidates, the government has declared its commitment to multilateralism, and a government program is underway to revitalize Sensibilitee's beaches. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is well under control. Sensibilitee's national animal is the Ring Necked Pheasant, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its currency is the Free.

Sensibilitee is ranked 4,532nd in the South Pacific and 93,539th in the world for Shortest Average Lifespan, scoring -24 on the Bus Surprisal Index.
