Its compassionate, intelligent population of 17.903 billion are fiercely patriotic and enjoy great social equality; they tend to view other, more capitalist countries as somewhat immoral and corrupt.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it devotes most of its attentions to Social Welfare, with areas such as Defence and Religion & Spirituality receiving almost no funds by comparison. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Aeternia. The average income tax rate is 94%, and even higher for the wealthy. The private sector is almost wholly made up of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, although the government is looking at stamping this out.

Students cut up leftover breves during Arts and Crafts, most citizens in Scrivneria are abject pyrophobes after extremely graphic pamphlets were mailed nationwide by the government, airport security is provided by private companies, and Scrivneria's famous countrysides are shrouded by wind farms. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is a major problem. Scrivneria's national animal is the singing dragon, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the breve.

Scrivneria is ranked 1st in The YoungWorld and 467th in the world for Healthiest Citizens, with 23 Standard Bananas Ingested per capita per day.
