Overview • PeopleGovernmentEconomyTrendAnalysis

The Republic of Schlueter is a colossal, economically powerful nation, ruled by Jason with an even hand, and remarkable for its complete lack of public education. Its hard-nosed, hard-working population of 9.253 billion are either ruled by a sleek, efficient government or a conglomerate of multinational corporations; it's difficult to tell which.

There is no government in the normal sense of the word; however, a small group of community-minded, corrupt, pro-business individuals juggles the competing demands of Law & Order, Defence, and Healthcare. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of San Dimas. Income tax is unheard of. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Arms Manufacturing industry, followed by Information Technology and Uranium Mining.

Elections have become procedural nightmares due to voters persistently rejecting candidates, abortions are routinely performed in Schlueter's hospitals, children as young as twelve are conscripted into the armed forces, and muscular women are banned from competing in sporting competitions. Crime is pervasive, probably because of the country's utter lack of prisons. Schlueter's national animal is the kitten, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the gumball.

Schlueter is ranked 3,390th in Lazarus and 94,552nd in the world for Most Compassionate Citizens, scoring -333 on the Kitten Softness Rating.
