The United States of Scandaria is a massive, environmentally stunning nation, ruled by Leroy with an even hand, and renowned for its sprawling nuclear power plants. Its compassionate, hard-working population of 3.104 billion have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

Voting is voluntary, criminals are put to death while cuddling their favourite teddy bear, notable individuals are granted land and titles, and the government awards prizes to television shows featuring stereotype-breaking minority roles. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Scandaria's national animal is the Meerkat, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, its national religion is Lutheran, and its currency is the Klem.
