OverviewPeopleGovernmentEconomyTrendAnalysis

The Kingdom of San Lumen is a gargantuan, socially progressive nation, ruled by King Jason Von Habsburg with an even hand, and notable for its punitive income tax rates. The compassionate, intelligent population of 11.548 billion San Lumenese are fiercely patriotic and enjoy great social equality; they tend to view other, more capitalist countries as somewhat immoral and corrupt.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt, socially-minded government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Defence, Education, and Law & Order. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Vienna. The average income tax rate is 93%, and even higher for the wealthy. A powerhouse of a private sector is dominated by the Book Publishing industry.

Dozens of additional foreign policy specialists have been sent to the country's WA Mission, drunk drivers are sent to rehabilitation paid for by the government, the government is spending billions of taxpayer Giselles to support the Book Publishing industry, and roads are often attended by round-the-clock construction crews. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is crippling. San Lumen's national animal is the Mute Swan, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the Giselle.

San Lumen is ranked 13th in Baradoz and 106,049th in the world for Highest Drug Use, scoring 15 on the Pineapple Fondness Rating.
