It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Defence, Education, and Healthcare. A powerhouse of a private sector is dominated by the Book Publishing industry.

The study of medicine is popular throughout Samsonfire, calling out of the blue has become taboo, tourists need only sign on the dotted line to become citizens, and the armed forces are locked in an expensive and bloody war abroad to stamp out possible terrorists. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Samsonfire's national animal is the Fire Tiger, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the Flame.
