The country has been 'going shopping' by annexing nearby nations for their resources, citizens have reported seeing strange rays of light emanating from the moon, all major public areas are watched by police surveillance cameras, and military spending is on the increase. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force. Rutianas's national animal is the Meerkat, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, its national religion is whatever, and its currency is the Runai.
