The Democratic Republic of Russellistan is a massive, genial nation, ruled by Dude McDudenstein with an even hand, and renowned for its keen interest in outer space. Its compassionate, intelligent population of 1.935 billion are fiercely patriotic and enjoy great social equality; they tend to view other, more capitalist countries as somewhat immoral and corrupt.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it devotes most of its attentions to Education, with areas such as Religion & Spirituality and Defence receiving almost no funds by comparison. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Red Stick. The average income tax rate is 84%, and even higher for the wealthy. A powerhouse of a private sector is dominated by the Book Publishing industry.

Loans are available for students from poor families, the average commuter spends four hours a day driving to and from work, morning coffees are no longer the same since the disappearance of newspapers, and a niche industry catering to S&M enthusiasts has sprung up. Crime is totally unknown. Russellistan's national animal is the Hedgehog, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its currency is the Peseta.
