The Holy Imperial Empire of Romatticus is a massive, economically powerful nation, ruled by The High Exalted Arch Emperor Augustus with an iron fist, and notable for its punitive income tax rates. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 3.851 billion are ruled by a mostly-benevolent dictator, who grants the populace the freedom to live their own lives but watches carefully for anyone to slip up.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt government stops and the rest of society begins, but it concentrates mainly on Defence, although Law & Order and Commerce are on the agenda. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of The Forum. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 90%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Arms Manufacturing industry, followed by Woodchip Exports and Uranium Mining.

Motorists' locations are constantly tracked by intelligence and law enforcement agencies, fewer people are bathing as citizens must show ration stamps before they can turn on their faucets, the newspaper industry is subsidised by the government in order to keep it afloat, and calling out of the blue has become taboo. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Romatticus's national animal is the Panda Bear, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, its national religion is The Cult of Personality, and its currency is the Dollop.

Romatticus is ranked 3rd in The Legion Lands and 115,484th in the world for Most Pacifist, scoring -487 on the Lennon-Springsteen Scale.
